Asa Carns

BIO:

Asa Carns was born and raised in Clearfield, PA. He earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Wittenberg
University with a double major in piano performance and sacred organ music, with emphasis on choral
conducting and vocal studies. Mr. Carns also studied for two years at The Berliner Kirchenmusikschule in
Spandau, West Berlin, Germany. Asa has been an organist/choir director/children’s choir director/hand
bell director at various churches for 34 years. Mr. Carns has taught music privately in piano, organ, and voice for 30 years. Mr. Carns is also the accompanist for the State College Choral Society. He accompanies
professionally and provides entertainment for private parties, weddings, funerals, and memorial services. He
is the founder and producer of the Lenten “Bach “ Box- Lunch Concert Series performed in Altoona. Mr. Carns
has also organized numerous Christmas cantatas. He has recorded a Christmas CD, “Christmas As I Hear It
“and a two-CD piano and organ duet project entitled, “Reflections of Our Faith.” Mr Carns is a member of The
American Guild of Organist, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and a Suzuki registered piano instructor with SSA.

Dr. Susan Manns

Dr. Susan Manns

BIO:

Dr. Susan Manns trained at Nyack College (BM), Manhattan School of Music (MM), with European conductors and at University of Oklahoma (DMA). Her degrees centered on voice performance. She taught college voice and related subjects for many years.  She has been in demand as a music and stage director for many operas and musicals.
Colleges where Dr. Manns has taught: Asbury College, University of Oklahoma, Roosevelt University, Moody Bible Institute and others. She has taught private voice lessons for many years—in both Germany and USA. As a teacher she believes that teaching is a combination of enthusiasm, observation, and instruction of the student, while she herself seeks to learn from each student.

Enaw Elonge

Enaw Elonge

BIO:

Enaw Elonge holds a MM. and BM. in Music Education in voice and viola from Ithaca College ('18) and Mansfield University of PA ('16) respectively. While studying at MU she was both a violist and violinist in the Symphony Orchestra and a soprano in the Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, and Festival Chorus. She traveled to Europe in 2014 with the Concert Choir to compete in the World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia. The choir brought home several gold medals. During her time at IC Enaw sang with the Ithaca College Choir, who performed at Alice Tully Hall in NYC, and played with the Symphony Orchestra. She was also fortunate enough to premiere several new works from up and coming young composers. Currently, Enaw serves as the Music & Arts Department Chair (2022-2023), Music and Drama Teacher at Dundee Elementary School (2018-present). She has been teaching privately for 10+ years. BIO:

Joe  enjoys teaching voice to everyone from aspiring opera singers, to tomorrow’s Broadway stars, to your Rock & Roll singers! He teaches all skill levels, and is passionate about helping others find their own, healthiest singing voice. Originally from Camp Hill, PA, Joe received a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and a M.M. in Voice Pedagogy and Performance from Penn State’s School of Music.”
