Demetrius Bitler

Demetrius Bitler

BIO:

I started playing piano when I was fourteen, after having being gifted a Casio 61 key keyboard from my godmother. I started formal education a year after, studying with Matthew Hochmiller of York, PA. After playing piano in my school's (Red Lion Senior High) jazz band, concert band, orchestra, and my local church I decided to make piano my primary instrument; switching from violin. Following high school, I attended Gettysburg College for music education with piano as my primary instrument, and violin as my second. I studied piano with Jocelyn Swigger and composition with Avner Dorman. Since exiting Gettysburg, I have focused more on rock, pop, and jazz music. I currently play in the my Church Worship Band and look forward to growing a student base that prides itself on creativity, technique, and a love for music.
