Grahm Dion


Grahm Dion is a Composer/Multi-Instrumentalist and wrote his first piece shortly after starting to learn his first instrument. Since then, he has written hundreds of pieces for ensembles ranging from jazz combos and rock bands to orchestras and chamber music. As well as being a composer, Grahm is also a well-known pianist primarily from New York City. While receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance from the State University of New York at Purchase, Grahm studied under Doug Munroe and Dr. Jim McElwaine. During this time ,he was mentored by two contemporary music master composers, Dary John Mizelle and Richard Cameron Wolf. His compositions and performances have been featured in many locations around the world, from the ‘Knitting Factory’ in NYC to Taipei Cultural Center in Taiwan. Grahm has performed with many greats in the fields of jazz and popular music. His Master’s Degree in Ethnomusicology from Taiwan University of the Arts , reflects his diversity and appreciation of all genres of music.
